1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using OneActionStep ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OneActionStep, operated by OneActionStep ("we," "us," or "our"). The Service is designed to help users achieve their goals through credit commitment and accountability.

2. Description of Service

OneActionStep is a goal accountability platform that allows users to:

• Set personal goals with specific deadlines
• Stake credits for each goal
• Automatically forfeit the committed amount if goals are not completed by the deadline
• Track progress and maintain accountability through credit consequences

Important: By using this service, you understand and agree that credits will be automatically deducted from your account if you fail to complete your goals by the specified deadlines.

3. User Accounts and Eligibility

Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years old to use OneActionStep. By creating an account, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

Account Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Providing accurate and current information
• Promptly updating account information when it changes
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Credit System and Voluntary Purchases

Goal Commitments

When you create a goal, you voluntarily commit to forfeit a specified number of credits if you do not complete the goal by your chosen deadline. This commitment is binding once confirmed. Credits are virtual tokens purchased voluntarily - there are no automatic charges to your payment method.

Automatic Credit Deduction

BY CREATING A GOAL, YOU AUTHORIZE US TO DEDUCT CREDITS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT for the committed amount if you fail to mark the goal as completed by the deadline. This authorization includes:

• Automatic processing at the deadline time with no manual intervention
• No refunds or disputes for legitimate failed goals
• Credits permanently lost from your account balance
• Email notification of credit deductions

Credit Purchases

Credit purchases are completely voluntary. You are never required to buy credits and there are no automatic charges to your payment method. All credit purchases are processed securely through Stripe. You are responsible for keeping your payment information current if you choose to purchase credits.

Credit Recovery and Disputes

Lost credits for failed goals are final and non-recoverable. The purpose of our service is accountability through real consequences. However, we may consider credit restoration in cases of:

• Technical errors that prevented goal completion
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Serious personal emergencies (documented medical emergencies, natural disasters)

Credit recovery requests must be submitted within 7 days of the deduction and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Create goals with illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to circumvent the credit system
• Create multiple accounts to avoid credit consequences
• Use the service for gambling or other prohibited purposes
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Use automated systems to interact with the service

6. Goal Completion and Verification

Self-Reporting

OneActionStep operates on an honor system where users self-report goal completion. You are responsible for honestly marking goals as completed only when you have genuinely achieved them.

Deadline Enforcement

Goals must be marked as completed before the specified deadline. The system automatically processes failed goals based on the deadline you set. Time zones are handled according to your local time when the goal was created.

No Modifications

Once a goal is created, its deadline and financial commitment cannot be modified. This ensures the integrity of the accountability system.

7. Privacy and Data Use

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your information.

We use Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for data storage. Your payment information is securely handled by Stripe and never stored on our servers.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

We are not liable for any consequences resulting from service unavailability, including missed goal deadlines due to technical issues beyond our control.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by OneActionStep and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of the goals and content you create, but grant us a license to use this information to provide and improve our Service.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL ONEACTIONSTEP BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF FEES PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OneActionStep and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately, but any financial commitments for active goals remain valid and enforceable.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
